Meetings and processions have been banned for seven days from today, a spokesman for the Police Headquarters said yesterday. The Inspector General of Police has passed on instructions to all the Police Officers to strictly enforce the law and to arrest and prosecute anyone disregarding their position, a senior official at the Police Headquarters told the media. According to the Police Headquarters, a Special Security Programme will be in force for seven days from today.
