The Forbes Best Countries for Business has ranked Sri Lanka 83rd out of 128 countries in its latest edition which measures trade freedom, monetary freedom, property rights, innovation, technology, red tape, investor protection, corruption, personal freedom and tax burden.

Denmark heads the list followed by Hong Kong and New Zealand. Venezuela is at the bottom of the ranking, after Zimbabwe and Chad.

Sri Lanka is ranked above China (90), Pakistan (92), Nepal (104), Bangladesh (109) and Vietnam (118) while countries ranked above Sri Lanka include India (77), Serbia (81) and Morocco (82).
