The Supreme Court today allowed the withdrawal of a petition filed by the Co-director of the “Outreach” website and “North Eastern Monthly” S. Jaseekaran while separately the High Court acquitted him and his wife of all charges.

Jaseekaran had been arrested with journalist J.S. Tissainaygam over allegations of having links with the LTTE. Tissainaygam was recently sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment.
