Galle District Secretary Asoka Jayasekera has complained to the Galle DIG that Provincial Councillor Nishantha Mutthettuwegama had threatened him with death.

He told Police that Mutthettuwegama had said that his preferences were reduced after the second count and had alleged that it was due to some underhand activities of some officials.

The Galle Police has commenced investigations.
