A group of journalists will distribute leaflets opposite the Fort Railway station today (March 15) as a protest against the government’s failure to locate missing journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda. A spokesman for ‘Journalists against Suppression’ told The Island that Ekneligoda had disappeared 50 days back on the eve of the presidential election shortly after leaving his office.

Police spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody said that two police teams had been assigned to investigate the disappearance of the journalist. Addressing the media at the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS), Jayakody said that the police were confident of a breakthrough shortly.
