A training workshop was held at Batepola for the staff of Ambalangoda Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) recently to formulate citizens committees.

A new organisation structure was formed and an action plan was also discussed. In addition, numerous issues relating to service delivery and income generation were taken up and group exercises were carried out to instil leadership and team work within the cadre.

35 staff members including Pushpalal Kumarasinghe, Chairman and Munasinghe Anurasena, acting Secretary of the PS participated in the workshop.

Piyatissa Ransinghe, former Secretary to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and Uda Rata Development and former Chief Secretary of the Sabaragamuwa Province conducted the workshop.
